Realistically how much does it cost to do a mid tank mod on a Savage X 4.6?Does it take different TVPS?

You can do it on stick TVP's. It just depends which mid tank set up you go with. It can cost as little as the tank or you can spend up to +$70 into it.

if you do the FLM midtank it can cost around 200.

How did you come up with $200? Just curious as I did the FLM midtank and was no where near to that amount.

Here is my midtank setup..

FLM Extended TVP's ($56)
FLM servo plate ($14)
FLM servo mounts (x2) ($16 for both)
Cen radio box (~$15)
Mugen 125cc fuel tank ($25)

Total amount: $126

if you add motor plate and linkage and every other little thing you need.

My motor plate came with mine.....already have the linkage done but even still add about $30 for motor plate and linkages and that is just an oddball figure and realistically is around $20.

Pretty much all screws come with the parts that you need....

Awesome you can do the PRC Chassis Conversion for a tad over the $200.

Why is a motor plate needed for a Mid-Tank install?

Come on guys. Let's not fight. I would like to go with a larger tank than stock for longevity purposes.I see people using a 250cc tank.

I have a kit that will bolt to the X chassis that takes the 250cc tank. You will need to mount the servo to the rear somehow and will have to use a larger flat washer and sandwich the TVPs between the washer and the kit. This kit is the PRC125.

You will need to either strap the hump to the chassis or to the front or rear shock tower and stick the Receiver somewhere, a great place is to the flat side on the top of the Transmission or to the top of the tank.

I do stock all the parts for this including the tank and the FLM Servo mount to attach the servo to the bottom of the PRC125 Kit. Email me or PM me for availability of these items and prices.
