Hey guys i have just bought new flm lcg non extended TVPs. After installing them i realized that i cant set the gear mesh between the cb and sg. Its on too tight and i cant seem to move the engine away from the sg. Nothing seems to be stuck its just that there is not enough room to set the mesh properly. I run the 17tcb and 47tsg. Pls help guys i have not ran my savage for 2 months.
Thanks

I run the same FLM TVPs you are and the biggest gear ratio I can get in is 16/47.

most have a similar problem with the flm's dev & a few have chosen to grind a groove in the tvp.
a better way to do it is replace the screws that hold your mill to the motor mount with pan head screws & they will fit under the tvp enough for you to get your mesh right. Running 17/47 a.t.m.

Thanks for the quick reply guys.
frddyj, do you by any chance have pics of how it will fit with the pan head screw? Cant seem to picture it in my head, Was told to do this but am still very unclear on how i can achieve this.

On LSN side of Mill, you can keep your stock Machine Head Screws

On HSN side of Mill, remove Machine Heads & replace with Pan/Button Heads & they will slide under the tvp

I dont have the lcds, but I do have the reg length FLMs. I use the button head screws as mentioned and I run 18/49.
