Who makes a good set for the Savage? Can you use the stock tires? I hate gluing/removing tires on rcs so I'm thinking a nice set of beadlocks will set me up well. Thanks.

Check out the Maximizer beadlocks.

I have a set of these:

I haven't ran or mounted them yet but I love the looks and have heard they are strong. They are also light compared to the Pro-line and I believe the Axial beadlocks.

if you are going to run in snow with the max's leave the rock rings off. they cake up with snow and its a pain to get out.

i like mt 1/2" offset rims. handle nicely, and have stood up to running into a 8X8 fence post at full tilt.

There are many other company's that make bead locks as well like Axial but the maximizers seem to be the best. I run the same ones parker posted in his second like and love them. They are wrapped in a set of Losi Zombie-Maxx tires which the combo is great, I also have about 3 gallons of run time on them with very hard beating.

Thanks for the info guys.

Question, since running in snow was mentioned, are the Savages waterproof?

They are not water proof but will take some. Best to get like Traxxas wp servos and use a balloon and wrap around the receiver and you would be good to go.

I have ran mine thru puddles 3-4" deep and in a bit of snow never had a problem. My bro did fry a servo once thought.
