Dyeing maximizer wheels

Has anyone tried to dye green wheels to black ?

I have dyed light blue to dark royal blue and grey to dark blue. It shouldn't be a problem as long as you are going darker.

I let the parts boil in the RIT Dye for about 5 minutes, moving the parts around a little so they don't sit on the bottom and melt.

I dyed green to black, and so far they have worked good. The only problem is the underlying plastic is still green so a deep scratch shows up green.
