Well I got my battery box in today. It is a CEN magnum box, it is a tight fit and I had to sand a little on the fuel tank but it does fit!!! Everything fits in there with plenty of room to go. I can't wait to run it!!

Thats the cleanest setup so far. I have seen a lot of butchered mid tanks and even worse header tanks but yours look good nice job!!!
you have done a good job of that ,bet your pleased with it! i would be!

Well I had to just make a plain flat plate to mount the tank on. I was going for a lower set but with the battery box it won't fit in the TVP's. then like I said the box is from a CEN magnum. The steering servo is under the plate, attached to the side of the TVP's. There wasn't really that much that I had to get to do this.I did have to change my throttle servo to a futaba 3003 cause it had a much longer wire to it. Now everything fits in the box and I still had PLENTY of room. Here are some earlier pics;

Great work man! Just three questions for you, sorry if you've already answered them in your other thread...
1. Are those Panther Slicks
2. How many CC's is that tank
3. Those are aftermarket TVPs right(LCG Chasis)? If so, can this be done with the same setup on the stock TVPs?

Those are Panther slicks!
The tank is 125cc, MBX Prospec
The TVP's are from LCG Racing, no this set-up will not work with stock TVP's they have to be extended. I had to shave part of my tranny to get the box to fit.

very nice AJ!
make sure that the steering servo is protected from rocks and such.

The servo is pretty well protected. It sits right above the skid so the bottom is good and only a litte of the side is showing. Once I get some more plastic I will be making a skid to cover the res of the bottom.

aj, you mentioned a tight fit between the bat box & tank & you sanded. can you update after you run a few tanks? i am wondering if the tank or box gets stressed when you run it.

I have had no problems since I did this mod. Everything is working great. I did find out this mod can be done with a stock chassis but the radio box has to be modified. I have seen it done on other forums.

does anyone make a plate to mount tank and servo on to a stock savage x tvp? i want to do the cen/magnum and i read judges setup but he has flm tvps and the plate to go along with it. I have stock savage x and want to do this as my first mod.

You can use the same FLM servo plate I used...you'll just have to drill an extra hole in your TVP's for the front cross-brace.
