today i fixed all the stuff on my truck (Broken dogbone lowerarm mount got a new 15 tooth clutchbell and 49th spur and new suspension shafts) and on my second tank of the day my back diff blew and even if it is a cheap fix this thing is just a money pit and im not made off money and i know ill bust something else and put the savy on the shelf until i can fix it and its torture so im gonna fix it one last time and tear it down and clean it then u guys will see it for sale on here and maybe ebay, but im not giving up the hobby all together because i love rc cars and i love my savage and it sucks that i cant afford the keep it going but with the money from my savy im gonna get a crawler or something electric, just try something not nitro. ill still come o the forum for help with whatever truck/car i get so its not the last u will here of me. Thank all you guys for all the help you gave given me with my truck it has been VERY helpful

Hate to see you go out over a diff. $30-40 and you should be running again. Does it have the metal diffs? If not, you were doomed from the start.

sorry to hear your getting a bit discouraged, i hope if you do put it up for sale it sells quick for ya!! and as everyone said you would be always welcomed here im sure!! but you know something...... once you get all the "gremlins" out of your savage it will give you hours and hours of fun "depending on how much you crash i guess lol" i hear of guys on here that have went through gallons of fuel without having to fix a thing, i myself am just starting the second gallon and havent had to fix anything,in fact im still running the same glow plug!! lol but i have changed stuff as i cant help myself from buying hop ups it seems lol

Man I just don't get it. I must have some good luck with my savages, I have own 4 of them in my past. I have never had this many problems I hear people have with there savages. ALL my savys have seen air, horrible landings (if you can call them landings), and ran into tires of cars or even sidewalk curbs. And for one, never have broken a dogbone (I have bent them to hell 4 or 5 times). But still got maybe 4 to 5 + hours of use before I started to see them get bent. I have ran and do run the stock diff's. I would guess we are talking about 40 to 50 hours total run time over the years and had maybe two diffs brake, if that. One time being my fault. just bad wrenching.
So I ask, what is it VERY bad driving, not wrenching properly, what? The reason why I say this, is Savages are the MOST duruable model out there, BY FAR.
Sorry to hear you are having that many problems.

one of my big problems is i get get to excited when i get a new part and put stuff on wrong and run the hell out of it and it brakes so it sucks, i might give it a little longer and put new diffs in it and see what happens but im torn between just sellin it or puttin savage X diffs in it and see what happens but idk, the savy may stay or go but ill get back to u guys, (i take back what i said earlyer in this post when i said it was a final decision on gettin rid of my truck)

Good Man. No one likes a quiter! LOL
Dude, i believe that is the root cause of most people's problems. Not giving these models the proper care. Ya i know these are toys and all. But give it some TLC and see the thing last forever.
