HI, sorry for posting again, i thought that my diff had shredded it self but after taking the diff out i saw that it was the 13 tooth gear that had teeth missing,,i done mind but why would that break that soon ?? the break in the teeth didnt look very clean and there were tinny little gouge's in the broken surface so im hoping it might have been a dud gear

no it happens all the time when you`re seriously jumping.
I haven`t had the problem myself but a lot of people on the forum have.
That`s why I want alu bulkheads & diffboxes before I start jumping.

when u jump, are u landing WOT? if so, thats why you blew the gear. ease off the throttle just before u land, and the next one will last longer.

I like the aluminum gearboxes, but I would advise against aluminum bulkheads. The stock ones almost never break, and are more than adequate, while the aluminum ones you will begin breaking screws off in them. I have seen it too many times.

On the same note, there are very few parts that aluminum will actually help your truck instead of hinder it. The gearboxes are a good idea, as well as uprights. But A-Arms, bulkheads, shock towers, etc. will actually make the truck weaker by removing flex and not allowing the truck to take a hit as it was designed. Just a little tip from your friendly neighborhood Xjeepguy.

I know this is an old post but what the heck .. I disagree on the alloy bulkhead comment . sence I upgraded to alloy bulks I have had the best of luck with them. NO STRIPPED GEARS SENCE .. that says allot considering my past experiences. Allot of you know my hard ace .... but everything else I will agree to .. btw xjeepguy HAPPY b-day
