ns-25 carb

i went to go take out my carb on my nitro star 25 and it came out but there is like a metal insert in there still in the engine and i was wondering is it suppose to be there? when i took the carb out the neck was plastic. i thought maybe the metal thing was suppose to be on the neck of the carb

yes the metal ring should still be on there its a stupid desine fault
