What to do with new savage

Hi all.
Ive just brought a savage and wondering what i should do to it,

ive had i 4days now and so far ive put new better servo's in, cos the steering wasnt all that,

and fitted dual disk brake,

its a savage 21 with a 21 bb engine.

and wondering if its worth changing plastic for alloy parts,

any advise pls let me know,

well bottom line is its your choice, but most here will agree the stock plastic holds up real well.. yes the alum looks awsome but doesnt "flex" at all so its forced to bend or break also adds weight... and what i've found is the alum stuff doesnt look pretty very long anyway, as it gets all scratched up and stuff and actually ends up looking worse then with the stock plastic!! if you havent got one already i would definately suggest a hump pack to go along with the stronger servos you threw in!! im going the exact oppisite way with my savage x and going with rpm products (center skid,a-arms) there lighter then stock and way stronger plus you add in the lifetime guarantee and u have yourself a winner folks lol and its just my opinion but a center skid plate is a sound investment as well as it does 2 things for you 1. it protects your brake disc and drive train 2. it helps to brace the t.v.p's to help prevent them from flexing to much which can throw out your gear meshing and add new problems!!! hope this helps my friend!!!

I would say a cheap but effective mod would be bearings in the steering.

Take a look at THIS (http://www.hpisavageforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3697) thread, you will find alot of good suggestions for first mods. Also for most things sometimes its best to wait until its broken and then have fun modding it better.
