So I picked up some Maximizer 0 offset yellow bead locks from tower for $18 a pair. They were on inventory reduction. I couldn't beat the price.

Now I am thinking of wrapping them in pro line badlands tires. I would like to know a few things about them.

1- How do the tires handle for a mix of 75% dirt/grass/gravel and 25% street?
2- How well do the maximizers work in clamping the beads?
3- Are there any other tires I should consider, keeping in mind that I would like a lighter tire rather than a heavy one.

Thanks.

I use badlands on my savage and they provide very nice grip on all surfaces, Ive had mine for quite some time and they are wearing very slow:)
they also handle much nicer than the stock tire.

I use badlands on the same wheels. They work well. They do sometimes come out of the bead in bad landings and crashes but not very often. I have only pulled the them out twice so far.

So I finally bought some badlands. They are supposed to get here tomorrow. I have one question. Do I need to use the shim to mount them on my maximizer beadlocks?

Thanks,
Mike

I would try them first without as I think the website says they should work without. If they come out on a regular basis stick the shims in.

I got the tires mounted up last week, and had a chance to run them this evening, until the rains came. The tractions is pretty good in grass, sticks a ton on asphalt, and throws the dirt/gravel like not tomorrow. I will probably run the stockers when driving on pavement to save the tread life of the badlands. After two tanks I am liking what I am seeing. If it isn't raining this upcoming weekend and I get my one way bearing fixed hopefully I can head out and bash my truck.

Here is my dirty savage x 4.6 rtr. It is pretty much stock. All I have added is a hump pack, Maximizer beadlocks, badland tires, and an exhaust pipe from a Savage ss that was lying around the garage. I had to get a different body since it didn't take long to tear the stock body to shreds.

If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask.
