Ok the stats. # 7177 Chevrolet El Camino SS body By HPI. this is a Registered GM Product reproduction. Detail, The Lexan used is very clean and clear, the mold detail is superb, The lines are very clean and consistant. Detailing the bodies accents and curves. These Bodies also come premarked for the areas with mounting, Aerial, head and tank filling, Holes for the stock length savages. The Decal sheet is very detailed as well as pretrimmed. There is also a placement diagram that points out the key details to GM trim. Also included in the package was one additional lexan mold of the front Bumper and the Bugcatcher for the blower. There is a small piece of 2 sided tape and 4 small screws with nuts to attach these parts to the body. In the past I have had several of the HPI bodies. In my opinion, These bodies are Very detailed, Hold up well, And are Of good quality materials. They trim nicely with a good pair of scissors and Exacto knife. These bodies are very detailed and look Great. In my opinion they are some of the best you can buy for overall Realism, detail and Quality. I hope this review will help you in your search for your next body purchase. Thank you for allowing me to do this and for all your comments.http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w37/teaott/HPIM0380_001_012.jpg

Don't be afeared! try it ya might like it. Snot that hard just start out with 1 or 2 basic colors and designs. With more experience do more elaborate. It's not rocket science for gods sake. You can do it, Gitr done.

ya im gonna grow a spine and try painting a body i think!! worst thing that can happen is i'll have to just paint over it with a solid colour! lol
i like the paint jobs that slowly fade into another colour or change colours at different angles

A HPISF theme would be cool on a body.

Thanks Wister. Not done quite yet. If I could maybe get some smallish HPISF stickers, I would put them on most all bodies I paint. I have had some from the LHS I put on a number of them, but am out of those now. Again thanks.

Hope youall like . The lines on these are sweet, the stickers are some of the best detailed I have seen. It was easy to cut out with a couple different pairs of scissors http://i172.photobucket.com/albums/w37/teaott/HPIM0380_001_010.jpg And like I said before, These HPI bodies are already premarked as to where to cut and drill the holes to fit a standard Savage. They hold up well, And look fabulous! As for if there are questions on how It was painted, ask I'll try and answer. Once again Sorry it took so long, And hope this review will help in your choices for your next body. Thanks Gregg

Nice eye! Here's the deal. I gave the neighbor girl a body I had done for her Bday K. I told her brother I would do one for him. He did not like the ones I had and did not know what he wanted, so Like a Dumba$$ I told him when I got a body he liked let me know and I would paint It for him, Well this was it. So being a man of my word I painted it and gave it to him. He loves it! Now I need to get another and do for myself. Hope that isn't a problem. That I gave it away I mean. but they can be fit to a stock (badword) truck.

Looks like the neighbor kids Revo from here. If you could read the posts instead of just lookin at the pics you'd already know that. As far as bashing I need time to do some maintenance. They will run but need a lil TLC really. couple pics on my savy though just for comparison as it's meant to be on one Funny covers both bumpers on the revo looks bad

Looks really good sami, I would love to know what al the colors and paint type you used on it, and the order you put the paint on. . that is one of my biggest problems picking paint cant really tell what a color is going to look like till its on and dry.
SavageShaun- before you paint your brnco, a tip Sami gave me a while back that I liked a lot was to get a peice of glass to pratice on. I havent got one yet but will when I finally decide what colors to get.

Sorry I did not get pictures of the paint process. I did not have my camara available and was not going to wait as I needed to get this done. If anyone has Questions or needs help or advice feel free to ask me. I am more than happy to help any of you get the most out of your paint experience. I am by no means a Pro at this but have done several and feel I can be of assistance to some of you. Even if you've done a few yourself I may have some tips or tricks up my sleeve you don't. Thanks.
