4 bevel gear conversion

i was wondering aboutthe conversoin kits for the 4 bevel gear diffs in the kits does it give u just two more gears to add onto the two bevel gears u allready have or what i dont understand those kits

I assume it would include the 4 bevel gears and another axle or 2. If you replace one you really should replace the lot.

If you are running an older savage their diffs came with 2 bevel gears the savage X's came with 4 bevel gears. this is what you get: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJLH6&P=ML If you have a savage X with the 4 bevel gear diff they like psycho said you should really get :http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXPLW0&P=ML The plastic diff case flexes causing the bevel gears to strip and also after awhile the gears mesh gets so sloppy either you'll strip teeth off the gears or they become rounded and worn due to their sloppy mesh. If your not comfortable putting it together yourself HPI does make the 4 bevel gear diff with the allumin diff case and shim prebuilt :http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXPLV9&P=7

Or, you could shoot Jt a PM and ask him how much he charges to switch your gear diffs over the the ones that are in the Cen GST 7.7. I think that's gonna be my next mod.

i have an older savage 21 that im building up and makeing it stronger and better then im gonna sell it and build a savage x when im done with my 21 but i looked and my 21 has a 2 bevel gear kit and want to drop an sts .30 in it but dont wanna strip the diffs so i need 4 bevel gears and new cases but thanx for all the help
