would a Hitec hs-525bb be a good steering servo?

Dont know but I have a hitec HS-645MG and it works good. Not a bad price too.

I don't know sorry, do you know what spec it is ? I run a HSC-5998TG and I can't fault it, just needs a stronger servo saver spring to match it ! :blah:

No it does not have the torque for a steering servo. Go with the HS-645MG if you want something for a reasonable price.
