very nice...very similar to mine, althoug I haven't sprung for the suspension conversion, and I have the red/softer springs for the CEN shocks...I'm not sporting the wing, or RPM arms either...

so I guess not too similar, but I'm using a midtank, throttle mod, CEN shocks with softer springs, Axial .28 w/THS Racing pipe...

haha race savage, i used to use that term aswell.

looks ace though, have you checked out the corner weights when using the mid tank mod? still not convinced its better for racing myself

the hpi suspenison conversion does look alot neater than any other. shame its purple :p

Nope, It depends on how you do it which is a million ways...

Yes its the Pro-Line high down force wing mounted to a Mugen MBX5 wing mount... I pretty much came up with a way to mount it...

I have yet to test it out im heading to the Canadian Winter National in a couple days.... So ill defintily tell u how it goes..

Those are Pro-Line 23mm 1/2 offset wheels with crimefighter MT tires.... if you can, go for the MTR line of tires they are alot better....

Oh and im also totally re doing the truck...

this may be a stupid question, and I know it would not look as good, but wouldnt the down force wing do more good on the front of these trucks? Seems to me like I have plenty of down force on the rear of my trucks.

the cen racing suspension how is it. is it better then than the stock hpi suspension because i can decide between the lst conversion or cen shocks

Cen shocks are to short... And Lst shocks with all that mounting stuff makes them way to heavy....

This time Ive gone with 4 Xray XT8 rear shocks... they work awesome on my XT8... really high quality parts...

I do have adjustable towers... The Cen shocks are just poor quality and are to short and often bottom to easy from lack of stroke...If you try and solve that problem with thicker oil the shocks become way to stiff and u will bend a shaft...

These shocks are meant to be run as a set of 8 and work very poorly with just 4

Haha ya man thats why i bought a new 4.6 rtr as a basher...But i love to build something then take it to the races and try it and the fact that the savage is very impractical race truck makes it even more rewarding...

I think it cost around 450 after shipping...The engine looks really good inside... the sleeve is ported from the factory
