I have been thinking about this and need some ideas.. How do u bend the plastic!!! or to u buy them allready made?? need help on this please thanks people !!!!!!!!!!!!

Casey made them but if you make one......It is made out of derlin and you heat it up to bend it. Simple enough, but you need the brackets to mount it Casey made those as well but not anymore. You will need to find a way to mount it. Making the cage shouldn't be hard though.

The best one's ive seen where make buy Casy (Twisted Toys), but his you had to run at least a 1 inch ext tvp .5 front .5 rear. use a heat gun to bend it. here is a link to his site, its still up ,but as fare as i know he is not making savage parts anymore. http://www.twisted-toys.net/

the bending part should be easy its mounting the brace so it wont come loose is what I need info on seems like I need to learn how to weld on alloy screwing it to the tvp sounds week if thats how its done

pretty sure he made them himself...

He made them himself and sells them for about 150. You need a mid-tank mod though. PM him if you are really interested. These things are indestructable.

Oh I see have you thought about using brake tubing or do you want the plastic? Tubing you can braze together and I think it would be easier to mount.

and yes, brake tubing wouldn't stand up to any sort of bashing...

Your not just paying for the raw materials, your also paying for the mounting brackets (which he welds), the skill, the time and the fact he knows what he's doing.

But by all means, do it yourself and post up some pics :D

Tubing would bend really easy Iam thinking

not so fast dear boy...you'd need a spring or summit to insert into the tube to allow it to hold it's shape, else it will fold, instead of bending. rod would be cool, but wieghs more....let us know how you go, ro.

i pay 3.10$ a foot for my delrin...and even still at 150$...im tempted to say No to 99% of people...cuz IMO 150 Isnt enuff...for the quality..and the sheer fact it takes HOURS to make 1 single cage.....and cosmetics play a HUGE factor aswell...ANY 1 can MELT a delrin tube and bend it....its will u WARP it and actually MELT and rod and make it loook freeekin FUGLY....cuz ive seeen quite a few try..with HORRIBLE cosmetically FUUGLY cages....Sure it works...but 75% of this game is How it looks...Basher or Not.

YAY!!! this was one of my favorite threads!!! I still plan to make one of these one day myself...and I'm pretty sure I can get delrin stock thru my work pretty cheap...

Have both of you seen the "how-to to make a derlin rollcage" thread. His cage looked average but the instructions were very good. When I get some derlin I will try to make a rollcage.
