I have done shoes with and without the tool and the tool makes life a heck of a lot easier.

its not too hard putting on the springs. I would rather take 20 more minutes than pay 7 bucks for a tool

ya i just used a flat head screwdriver and it went easy for me i admit the third one is a bit of a pain lol

I use a flat head screwdriver too, but on the last one I use a allen to hold the clutch away from the shaft to give myself room to slip the last spring on the clutch nut

I just bought the fioroni twin Turbo sliding clutch system don't need the tool or a screw driver lol easy on easy off. Spendy but for me worth it.
