View Full Version : How to properly break in an engine?

I have been getting some mixed info that I want to straighten out. When break-in my engine(I'm planning on heat cycling), when it cools off should you piston be at the very bottom or very top? Post only if you know for sure. Thanks.

if you are going to do heat cycling the best thing to do is mark the flywheel for Bottom Dead Center, the piston should set at BDC when heat cycling
