View Full Version : Holding washers in place... or other small parts

Ok so I was putting the red fiber brakes on my SS and kept sliding the washer off every time I moved the tranny... Then I remembered what I used to do when I was a mechanic full time, use a dab of grease!

then place the washer on top...

And that will hold it on till the screw is through it.

I didnt see this tip on here, I probably missed it, but here ya go!

Nice tip Matt ..
I just realized one of my red fiber discs has exploded LOL
I took my skid plate off and there is red fiber every where ..
I needed new pads anyway :)

A tip I learned from someone was to cut about 2 3/4" pieces from the tube on a WD-40 can and put them in the holes. You slide everything over then take the tube out and put the screw in.

yep, I used pipe cleaners till I stated modding the brakes
