i think nos is going to be a bit expencive for me but what could i add to my fuel to get more speed and power. my dad says a few more drops of nitromethane but what do you guys think and where could i get that type of stuff from (in the uk).
thanks for all your help 4x4

your on a quick trip to a blown up engine if you listen to your dad. there are no additives for the fuel and if there were i wouldn't use them myself. look at what % nitro your engine can take hpi says the 4.6 max is 25% i think most aftermarket engines spec out at 30%. the more nitro the more you increase the timing of the engine. if you start burning the plugs or you get pits in the piston head add a shim or 2 to the head. power costs money real or rc. power also decreases the lifespan of the engine. you willing to pay?

the superchargers on the afore mentioned site, would they require a different grade of plug, anyone know? i imagine it would envolve a bit of messing around, richening the mix at wot??

had the SC on a surefire.32 works OK the performance gain isn't that dramatic. there is some but not enough to warrant the cost. 1/8 off the HS and that was it. starts were quick and came to temp quick. took care of half tank lean that my x had.
