thereare some real good air suspension kits on the market now. they used to be very slow rising and dropping the car but nowadays if u get a big enuf tank, it can drop as fast as a juiced kit!!

the black wheels with chrome lips will look good, all black would be too much black on the truck imo. u ever been to the SEMA show??

THIS is my engine:

I'm modifying the engine shown below, got almost 23000$ spent on that engine... Waiting for new crank, and a set of custom pistons before it can be mounted in my car..

Going for a ultra responsive, non turbo "rally" style engine, with around 250 bhp @ above 10 000 rpm

that is the 2 litre, 16v engine, non ecotec, the ecotec, z20xe sucks!

Luck has nothing to do with it...

Years of experience tuning cars, and awesome parts has everything to do with it..

EVERYBODY has the C20XE engine, it's to common an engine to tune....
Throttlebodies alone on the c20xe means 200 bhp....

No, I fell in love with the C20NE....

So far:

2.2 litre balanced crankshaft, 1300$

Custom Wiseco pistons, with the gudgeon pin, moved closer to the top, to loose weight, they are also "oversized" in order to be machined down to fit the the shape of the combustion chambers, (Standard stroke & bore is 86mm x 86mm), 1290$

Total engine volume is 2.31 liter after changing the crank & pistons

Custom Crower extra lenght H-profile conrods: 1290$

Head has been processed by CNCheads.uk, Larger valves, ported and machined to mach the throttlebodies. 1980$

Dbilas Dynamics Throttlebodies, 1774$

Enem.se Custom Cam Shaft, to give propper lift & duration for my engine, 575$

Ajustable cam shaft pulley 208$

Dual valve springs, mechanical valve lifters, led bronze: valve guides, conrod & crank bearings, hight pressure, high volume oil pump, new oil cooler. 1044$

Block: Bored, mounted oil nozzles under the pistons to cool them down : 403$

Custom aluminum alternator & crank pulley, to reduce revs on the alternator , and replaces vulcanized standard crank pulley, which tends to tear apart at high revs. 354$

Ok, over to the fuel system:

Ajustable fuel pressure valve: 145$

Injectors: 812$

Engine Management from Electromotive: 2745$

Fuel Pump: 305$

broadband Lamdazond: 241$

Dual knock sensors (not standard on this engine): 193$

Headers: 790$

Lightened 5.6 kg flywheel, 564$

aluminum clutch plate, sintercluch, 1290$...

HM... lets see... did i forget something ?

I could mention the rest of the drive train ?

6 speed f-28 gearbox from Vauxhall\Opel Calibra Turbo, converted from 4x4 to fwd, 1090$ Quafe ATB diff, 1200$

Brakes: Front 306mmx22mm disks, 4 piston calipers, 970$
Rear: "standard" disks drilled & slashed: 260mm 620$

Suspension: Powerflex bushes, 241$, extra stiffening bars over the front and rear shock struts: 360$, Extra stiffening bar between the front wish arms: 690$, Yellow Koni ajustable shocks, front & rear.

Non standard Opel parts: Brake amplifyer taken from a Opel Senator 3.0i.
Front & rear suspension from Opel Kadett GSI 16v(c20XE).

And I don't wanna start on wheels and the body...

Oh.. forgot to mention the compression ratio has increased from 9.2-1 to 15-1

[hs] darkshine
04-15-2007, 04:28 AM
waht flow rate injectors you running?
the f28 is a good box. a mate of mine is running one on his 250bhp corsa (opel nova??)
c20 xe in that, race cams, throttle bodies, internal work, plus nos. hoping to get a 100shot without frying the lump, as they killed the old one.

SantaClaw
04-15-2007, 04:38 AM
430ccm to make sure I get enough fuel....

20XE is almost cheating, double the amount of valves.... :P

The cnchead mod on my engine increased the airflow on the inlet by 24% and 22% on the exhaust...

Also, propper FWD bhp isnt that easy on a C20NE :P

On the 108 mph run, you might have noticed the engine temp was a bit high ??

Here is the reason:

Waterpump:

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y199/santaclaw/th_P1010082.jpg (http://s5.photobucket.com/albums/y199/santaclaw/?action=view&current=P1010082.flv)

SantaClaw
04-15-2007, 05:07 AM
Hm.. the damned waterpump, only 6 months old was standing perfectly still, on a mildly tuned engine... :P

I think I'll might go electric this time around...

A few weeks from that movie, the engine started to boil after a few minutes of driving.. I had a local shop try to determine if it was the waterpump or the head gasket.. They, insisted on it being either the head or the gasket... But it was the damned waterpump...

I drive a 2004 WRX STI. The car has gone threw some changes from it's strock form.

First group of mods were aimed at making more power and getting better responce out of the stock hardware. The car has always looked to be stock on the outside, thats the best part of building a street monster.

Some pics of the first stage of mods.
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o149/Defiantspaz/rightside.jpg

http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o149/Defiantspaz/rightsidemed.jpg

http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o149/Defiantspaz/rightsidehoodup.jpg

Mods were:
IHI VF22 turbo
Perrin shortram intake
Turbo XS turbo back exhaust with high flow cat
GT spec 2 header
PE 850cc injectors
UTEC engine managment

The dyno chart is auto scaled to the WHP and WTQ don't cross at 5250 RPM.
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o149/Defiantspaz/VF22UTEC850ccinj.jpg

With this setup the car was really torque and have no turbo lag, but I was wanting more. 289 WHP and 362 WTQ are alot for a street car, just not one of mine. I was on a quest for 400 WHP and my next set of mods would put me where I wanted to be.

I went to the 2005 EVO vs STI shootout at Englishtown NJ. I had a great time but it was HOT as hell and all the cars were slower than normal. My best was 12.926 @ 104.56 MPH, not as good as I wanted. Still I qualified as one of the 10 fastest Subaru's there and made it to the head to head racing where most of the really fast factory backed cars were.

Some pics from the shoot out.

http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o149/Defiantspaz/Pic1.jpg

all in all it makes about 750rwhp and 1400ish ft-lbs of torque. 7 inch bullhauler stacks to come from black cloud diesel. sorry bout the limited pics, but i dont have a digital camera.

i wont be able to burn it up. i got saftey cut offs set to below max settings. so if anything goes awry, like my boost regulator cutting out and possibly building well over 90psi, it shuts down. if i did burn the block up, id bore it out and sleeve it and put different compression pistons in it. im a diesel major at University Of Northwestern Ohio, so i can rebuild it in class.
i am waiting till i graduate to finish off the motor, im planning on building over 120psi of boost, and 1200 horsepower (that yeilds well over 2000 ft-lbs of torque).

i was hit head on at the drivers side corner at a combined speed of 115mph. my truck rolled 6-8 times and i was ejected on the 2nd roll. guy who hit me was having a heart attack at the time, thats why he hit me.

i got a ticket for no seat belt, i was hospitalized for 3 days with a very minor scratch on my arm, the other guy lived.

my truck use to be a 2006 dodge regular cab, turbo cummings, inline 6 cyclinder with a 6 speed manual, had some engine management stuff done, some interior stuff, had $1200 in LEDs in the running boards, had HIDs in the headlights, had some engine work done, cant remember what off the top of my head, most of it was done when i baught it used @ 1900 miles, had 34,000 when i wrecked it

So you probably wouldn't want to run Hell's Gate. I don't think I would run my savage there either, lol. My wife, two girls (2 and 9 months) and I went there last April for 10 days. that can be a problem, the H3 is comparable to a Jeep Cherokee so there isn't much problem there. The h2 is usually a Mall Queen but there are a few of us out there that beat the crap out of them. The H2 is a very tuff truck, think of it as a very well put together lifted GMC Yukon with lockers. I would prefer to have a small Jeep Rubicon, because it is just more practicle for hardcore offroad (I have taken my jeeps on ATV trails). But I have too much stuff and kids and dogs to dirve a Jeep. If you had a choice between a mini-van and an H2 which would you chose? Thanks for the compliments.

No I haven't just seemed with such a strong opinion about hummers you would drive a mini. Thats cool, that you have a jeep, just know that you are talking to a guy who has owned two very nice jeeps, one very nice Land Rover, two very nice hummers, worked for Jeep, Land Rover and been to Moab twice, Rubicon once, distributed for ARB and more junk that just sounds like I am bragging. I don't mean to, just want you to know that I am not the normal dickhead mall driving H2 owner. Secondly my point is after owning and building many rigs I do not prefer one 4x4 over the other, they all have their good points and thier weak points. I have yet to find, or build the perfect rig. So you don't have to try to prove to me that your rig is better, I am sure it is at some things. Trust me it is very cool to see a huge "ugly" H2 overcome some crazy obsticles. In this day a time the tree huggers are shutting down trails faster than you may believe. Instead of trying to one up each other offroaders (whatever they drive) we should befriend and defend each other and fight the tree huggers while we still can. Just wait in ten years Jeep Wranglers will be the Big Ugly gas guzzlers and everyone will be driving hondas.

It sucks for lookin at everybody's 1:1 ride since I sold mine at the begining of this year. But, I can post about what I would die to have or even have a chance at driving for 5 mins. here's the link to the shop page and I'll try to find the vid of it. Check out those numbers.

There's a vid link on that page. Be warned, it's 21 1/2 min. long but well worth every second. Let me just say that 1000cc sportbikes are no match for this car.

Yeah, the CCX is one sweet ride. If you get the chance watch the movie Redline if you haven't already seen it. The newest one with Eddie Griffin. It's a little bit of a cheesy movie but pretty good to watch. It's basically a Fast and Furiuos using high end supercars. Plus, the main character is exceptionaly hot.

I never even noticed the cop car and that's lke the second or third time I've watch the vid. I'll hae to watch again and see. I've also seen it in person and that car sounds even meaner when it flies by getting on the throttle. I was doin 70 when he passed me and it made me look like I wasn't even movin. And, he was the 3 cars behind me at the light to turn onto a state road/interstate.

Thanks! I knew I was going to buy it as soon as I walked on the lot! They don't make them in this blue any more. It actually took me about 3 or 4 months to find a 6-speed in this color. I bought it in September of this year with only 16,000 miles on it, still 18 months of factory warranty on it too.

I've considered an exhaust system, to make the exhaust note a bit more robust, but other than that, I like it how it is. I considered 19" wheels (currently on 18s) too, but they'd make the ride even stiffer, and it's already not exactly a marshmallow!

It's reasonably quick, fun to drive, and a blast to look at (and be seen in), so I don't see any real reason to drop a lot of money into it. After all, if it isn't broke... :)

Not too much to worry on the ear drums, the bass isn't as bad on them as the highs or distortion. A rock concert is around 125-135 and 2 hours of that will have you ears ringing more then the bass in my truck.

hey u guys that drive ford please tell me u guys dont have a 6 liter in them and it is the 7.3,because if u have the 6 liter i feel sorry for u, i work as a diesel tech for ford for 6 years and the 6 liter is the biggest pos that ford has, they have a law suit with international (how every u spell it) because of all the warranty work being done on the 6 liter ,it almost put ford bankrup so all fords are not the best diesel out there now put a cat 6.6 in a truck and u have one bad a@@ truck,if u need to know anything about your ford just ask i still have ties to the dealer i worked for.

well i learned something. i didnt know that cat made a 6.6 litre. i thought the smallest engine they made was the C-7 (7.2l) and i have a 7.3l. the 6.0 isnt that bad, after international got the problem with the block exploding.the 6.4 is the junk engine, you have to take off the cab to work on the bottom turbo, so thats a junk design. as for the 6.0, take te junk VG turbo off and put a turbonetics on it, and you have a pretty sweet engine.

hey dreadnaught the 6.6 liter cat is in woodchipers and stuff like that i am trying to find a way to put it in a 3/4 ton pickup the smallest on road engine is the c-7,the6.0 i think is the biggest pos,i have done tons of injectors, egr vavles ,egr coolers, egr vavle, head gaskets, blocks but i also work on mostly new york city fire department truck and stuff like that.Ford says to do headgaskets u have to remove the cab on the6.0,the 6.4 is just a bigger pos,the first step on 90% of repairs it to remove the cab i hate those 2 engines,i wish i could find a low mileage 7.3 they are the best ford ever had i now some one that is pushing about 800 to 900 hp out of there 7.3 it has twin high pressure pump custom injecteors and twin ball bearing turbos its was built form the block up that is the only ford i like needs to have a 7.3 in it
