I'm coming for 1st in the BB class!!!

And for the 1st/2nd place winners from last year, I want a rematch! (Loved last years races, all fun and games!)

Never tried the cage match or pulling, did watch and it was awesome!

oh no, the rivalries have begun to heat up. How about state rivalries? VA took home a LOT of hardware and Travis, you took home over $2,000 in prizes etc.

I have alot on my shoulders for next year, I am planning to win:

Pro Big Block
Brushless
Unlimited Pulling
Tuff Truck
Big Block Pulling(maybe)

That's alot to deal with, then again I would like to hang out with my fellow no limit bro;s and watch some racing also, so I gotta figure out what I wanna do.

I am only going to run the one class. I want to have a chance to enjoy the event with my family and get a chance to hang out with everyone. Plus I am sure there will be some informal bashing to be had at some point.

yeah i seen your flux, nice truck for sure! I'm just die hard losi, not that they help me with anything, i've just been a fan since the lst came out. I plan in having a lst2 hybrid brushless monster truck for that class, same build up as my nitro monsters, just brushless instead

This is a video my friend took of the grudge match that me and john shultz had, it was right after he won the pro big block world championship. Joey from nolimitvirginia wanted to make it a 2 lapper, i knew the finish line jump was gonna buck me hard, so i just went with the mind set of "1 lap is all it takes to win" and went for it! Here it is.....next year, i'll be pro big block world champion!

Thats kool man. What throttle servo and clutchs plus clutch springs do you use? YOur truck was fast off the line that whole weeknd?

IncredibleHULK
12-01-2009, 03:29 PM
Thanks bro, notice you were in the video too, I run either dynamite max life clutch shoes or losi long life clutch shoes and run 1.0 clutch springs either mugen or kyosho. My trucks are usually dialed in perfect when I race them, I needed more top end, when I switched to the spi's my gearing changed a bunch. That's ok know because I was able to bump up the gearing. I love those wheels and tires, I should have a set on all my race trucks for the WF hopefully.

IncredibleHULK
12-01-2009, 03:34 PM
Oh, I think that throttle servo in that truck was a JR9100s, expensive servo, has 180oz torque but is real fast .06 speed. I love those JR9100 series servo's. The 9100T's have 370oz. of torque, I run two of thos in my Goldberg truck and my puller, never can have enough torque you know.

Travis Mowery
12-01-2009, 03:35 PM
Yea the spi's are sweet. Im getting the purple hpi aluminum clutchs and 1.0 springs and going to try them out. I also have two 9100's in my losi 2.0 there quick!!

I believe we can still run the regular BB class? Not sure though?

Correct me if I am wrong. Thought we could run both BB and pro BB?

I honestly hate racing against other forum members....Although last year it seemed every race I had was against people right at our tent.

HPI_Savage25, You have to choose between big block or pro big block. You can't run both. If you finished on the podium in any class, the previous year and you have a big block race truck, you are required to run in the pro class. This way, we are guaranteed to have a new podium finishers every year in the big block racing class.

Thanks
Bari

PopeNJ, do I know you? I'm not familiar with your screenname, I don't know who Parker is either, maybe at next years world finals we can meet in person. Did you race in big block this year at the WF? Sounds like Parker did and will now race pro next year, looking forward to it. This was my first WF that I have been to, I think I was the only person in pro to volunteer to race that class. I felt like I had what it takes to race pro, I did screw up in two of my runs and ended up taking myself out , I think I was putting too much pressure on myself. I was winning both races when I did mess up that's the kicker too, but, I knew that me and my machines had what it takes to be #1, so I challenged John to the grudge match. Going by the regular format of course racing 1 lap to win, I beat him by 3 1/2 truck lengths. I had a blast, look forward to this next years WF, and look forward to meeting and hanging out with old and new friends.

Parker is HPI_Savage25. He took 3rd in big block this year. We don't really know each other except we have talked in the shout before. You just seem like you would put up a good challange is all. I like chalanges. Sorry to hear about your bad luck this year. Hope next year is better for you. And do I take it that you can opt to race pro even if you haven't raced or placed before? You said you chose to race pro.

That's cool, some people know each other by screen name or know them in person and on forums, I didn't know if I knew you or not. Maybe we might be able to square up a grudge match between me and you on the track and do a friendly match race. I look forward to the guys that placed 1,2,3 in bb, they will be in pro, and this time I'll be faster than last year. Yeah I chose to race pro, I felt that if I raced regular big block that it would be an easy win, I don't like that so I chose pro. After racing John shultz in the grudge you can see that I have what it takes to be pro and to be #1. the guy that won bb drove a losi, I didn't even know him and shook his hand because he did it with a losi. I'm not bagging on savages, I have two myself, but the world finals is infested with savages so it's kinda cool to do it with another truck you know. I'm not trying to bost or brag about my skills or anything like that, I just look forward to good times, great racing, and good people.

Hey Mike, what stage is your puller now? Seen the pics in ATL, how is is looking now?
Have you tested yet?
I'm just gettin started on mine. Blew my motor back durring the Punkin Smash. Got to get that fixed in time for the finals. Looks like my rear diff is a little fubar to, so I may have to do some exploritory surgery to see what the hang up is. I just hope I can hang with you guys. Mike, if that thing runs as good as it looks, we all will need team up to beat you.

Thanks Travis

Now that's a dumb question. Why wouldn't I? Heck yes I'm running them both. I'm gunnen for your dad in Big Block. I'm tired of getting my but kicked.
I just don't know how I'm gonna do it yet. He's got me scratching my head!!!
But I aint goona back down, I'm gonna give it my best shot! See what happens.
His truck works very good!
Plus I know Mike is building one heck of a unlimited puller. I have to try something different to hang with you guys. Also, I know Zeek, once he retires, he will have nothing better to do that sit around and figure out how he's going to take the hardware home................
I gotta get through first quarter and vegas, then I might be able to show pullers some loven. Still have a blown motor from the punking smash, and I think I blew out my rear diff.....again!
I guess this story will unfold in May!!!

Thats cool henry. I cant wait for the rc world finals, its gonna be awsomesauce. What gears are you running for your diff? I still have the regular harden gears that come stock in the xl in my dads puller, and he is running the stock spur with a 17t clutch bell, with the hpi purple clutchs. I forgot what springs but i would want to say the silver springs. And i think if we can get another 5.9 or two then we would like to build a twin puller. Cant wait till may!

I started out with the stock gear set. I do not know if I'm going to go up or down. Until I can get a couple of pulls under my belt, I do not want to make any drastic changes. I do not know if wheel speed or just grunt power is going to get it done. I do not think power with one or two motors is the problem! Either way, the harden gear set is what I'm sticking with. I have blown the two peice gears appart.
I got to make it to one of NLOVAR/C events. I think I'm close, but until I put it through a test, I'm only spitting against the wind.
Plus I want to see your dads truck pull one more time. It's just plain awesome to watch!
I'm taking away from anyone elses truck out there. I know of several people preparing their trucks for this event. I beleive the competition is going to be unlike anything we have seen in the past. It's your dads truck in my opion that has set the bench mark for all of us.

Travis Mowery
02-15-2010, 09:28 PM
Your truck seems like it gets up and go's and yanks! the sled no problem. After about 3/4 of the way down you start to lose traction. You defenty have the power. My dads truck is basicly stock as far as motor and gearing. The only mods on his truck are extended chassis, big tires, steering stabilizers, rear shocks lock so the dont compress, locked front end and rear end, weight box, You and joey will be some tough game soon as the bugs get out of yalls truck. Other then that i would say to try and make the changes that you would think would make it pull the best.
