hay guys just start saving for my mid tank but Wonder if this list is good for the mod???
hear is the parts
From SMF Store :

-FLM 45110 Skid Plate
-FLM 45700 Engine Mount Plate
-FLM 45500 Servo Plate Kit
-FLM 48000 Steering Link
-FLM 46000 Servo Mount
-FLM 47500 Cross Bar For Skidplates
-FLM 47000 Cross Bar For Engine Plate
-FLM 45800 engine mount
-CEN FF007 Radio Box
-Mugen MBX5T Fuel tank (any help with the mounts??)
-HPI Ribbed Tuned Pipe, Black

Go with the polished pipe or a 086 pipe the ribbed pipe is just a noise maker. Other than that looks good. Be sure to post pics.

i already have the polished pipe but was thinking the ribbed is a better one

not a fan of the ribbed pipe

another good choice would be a JP3 pipe, that's my next one to try.
a lot of guys love them.

Use the Hellfire fuel tank mounts for your tank.

go to www.hpiracing.com, go to hellfire, go to manual & you can find the part #.

yeah its good. i did almost exact same. went with a different tank & radio box almost immediately after first run. id recommend no less than 150cc tank

I would say LRP or Picco .28 not bad prices for what you get.

I would say LRP or Picco .28 not bad prices for what you get.

i'm running the k5.9 now but some friends hear say that it is a junk so thinking about an axial or a picco or an lrp

a huge tank should start thinking about another radio box than CEN wont fit with this big 250cc tank

dont know if i should stay with the 5.9

i have a couple friends running k5.9 in their XL's and they run work, bash just fine.

if yours works fine and runs good & your only reason for replacing is caz other's say its junk, then your crazzy

but by all means, if the K5.9 isnt giving you what you need, then step up your game.

realy i wont replace it till it's damaged or something like that

That's my thinking as well. I have the F4.6 and I really love it but... I also want to try something different. I sometimes bash with frddyj and have seen the K5.9's that he is talking about. I think it is a good mill as well. Not sure if I would try it out as I would like to go away from HPI for my next mill. The F4.6 really is my first nitro engine that I have used. I want to see and try other companies, just to see what is out there.

your gonna need this box to run the ofna 250cc tank and the ofna 250cc tank doesnt fit on the flm plate so you are going to have to fab your own or buy the carbon plate from larsenracing

The k5.9 runs sweet for me now. I had some tuning issues with it but now that it is more broken in, it is running really good. Maintaining good temps with minimal HTL.
