Most of you recommend the FLM engine plates but they are on back order.:dmt:!!! What would be another good choice, Integy kind of sucks I know, the HPI heavy duty one has a heavy duty price, and Ive heard some folks use the xl plate. My truck is a Savage SS regular chassis. I can't decide what to go with.:stressed: Any suggestions? I've had 2 stock plates crack and I'm really not that hard on the truck and I even put flat washers on engine mount screws.

Wow I must say I have never had an issue with my stock 25 motor plate or mount and I am not nice to this thing. Well guess I am just lucky. Knock on wood. You could try the FLM plate, Never heard anything bad about it. http://www.fastlanemachine.net/proddetail.php?prod=flm45700&cat=22

My stock plate cracked too, in the first or second gallon of owning the truck from new, i use and love the Innovative-RC one piece plate/cross member now, not sure how much it would cost to ship to the USA tho, I-RC is the UK.

even though SMF may be out of them ATM. you should wait. I love my FLM motor plate. I snapped my stock 4.6 motor plate like a twig, with the FLM I have not had any issue and I have torqued my truck enough to bend the stock TVPs (upgraded to FLM (http://www.hpisavageforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12466) extended lcgs) and the FLM plate is still in great condition.

Thanks for your help guys. I emailed Nick at SFM and he told me he should have the FLM plates in by the end of next week. Don't think going back with stock plate will work, I'm fixing to put in a drag modded Picco P3 .28 engine from Robin:rock:! Any other upgrades yall think I might need for the new Heartbeat? So far I've shimmed and upgraded all the diffs, have all heavy HD drive shafts & cups, ss brake setup, HPI Big Bore shocks' Hobbico CS-170 steering servo, Hitec HS-625 servo for th/bk, HPI Extended chassis ( will get the FLM LCG chassis plates and do mid tank mod later on maybe, need to slow down on spending for a while)money man, and I will be running 18/47 gears with high speed 3rd gear setup. Any thing else you experts recommend?:dunno: oh also have a Dynamite 086 pipe!

sounds like you are headed in the right direction bonzo. the only suggestion would be to do the xl dual red fiber brakes instead of the ss steel disks. the red fibers are 10 times better performance and they hold there adjustment forever

if you have the hpi HD dogbones, you might want to get rid of them and get FLM bones or upgrade to Xl Bones, silver dogbones handle less abuse then standard black.

+1 with this. Depending on how you drive and tune with that ERCM picco I have a few mosa for you too but will wait to see what you get for all that.
you said HD bones. The ercm will eat standard bones too. go S-HD flux diveline for that picco. Dont even waste your time/money with the others. My picco ate them all. SHD take all I can throw at them!

FLM engine plate is great choice, and I recommend them. Just a note tho, it doesn't matter what engine is in the truck, the engine does not bend mill plates. Bad, horrible, violent, and super hard landings are what bends those plates. I have bent and cracked a FLM plate with a axial .28. Good luck on the build.

Ok, I appreciate it guys. I ordered the duel fiber brake conversion. Hey Bank, can you give me a link or more info. on the SHD flux driveline parts? I'm having a hard time finding them.:frustrated:

XL dogbones and diff cups are super heavy duty too, the same as the Flux, only the XL uses extended axles, you may be able to find XL bones and cups cheaper than Flux on eBay.
