does anyone know what hopups i would need to make the diffs in my savage ss stronger. (my diffs are stock at the moment)

put 4 bevel gears in it first then buy the alum dif cups then shim it you will be fine

To shim the diff means to take up the slop in the gear mesh. So you dont strip the gears as easily. You could also look at the new XSS diffs they have an aluminum diff cup and it is blocked and shimed, still might need some shiming but not as much.

you can use a combo of kyosho diff parts and stock bevel/pinion i think to make a much stronger diff. search around forums for it
does anyone know where i can get 4 bevel gears from.+ how would u shim a diff.with washers?

your lhs doesnt have them???? ebay they r cheep for like 10 dollars for the whole set
i think im going to get the savage x ss diffs! are they stronger than the stock savage ss diffs? are they good quality? could i find better ? would i have to do any mods to fit them in to a savage ss?

just after half way down he talks about his upgraded diffs. might be worth looking into.
