mine is set up for racing. the shock towers and lower arms together give me excellent options for shock postioning and using various types of shocks.

the shock towers also dont flex any more so i dont burst my fuel tank every time i jump. (nut and bolt at top that holds shocks on flexes into the back of the tank on bigger jumps with the plastic towers) i went through a couple of tanks just because of this.

the lcg tvp's also stop if from rolling over on every turn. It races better than most savages at my club, however at the end of the day its a savage and im about to reuse it as my basher and build a revo for racing.

ok...got "most" of the things I'll be using for my monstrosity...eBay is a wonderful thing, although i STILL dropped around $400-ish...

all alloy suspension and steering
Fastlane extended LCG chassis
alloy tranny housing with 3 speed and reverse
alloy diff housings with steel spider gear setup (x2)
alloy bulkheads
alloy shock towers and body mounts
.46 Hot Bodies Truckzilla engine (in need of a rebuild) on a Nova racing Motor mount
Alloy wheels
CVD's all around (except for the extended one necessary for the Fastlane chassis...anyone know if they make an extended cvd?)

currently the only things that will remain plastic are the radio/servo box and the skid plates/bumpers...
