what kind of porformance do you loose when your pipe is not coplete sealed tl the engine:shtgn:

I'm sure you lose some, I'm not sure about what kind of back pressure these motors need though. If it was a rotary motor, then you wouldn't lose a thing, lol....God bless the Wankel! lol

I would think it would be like have a air leak NOT good use dubble zip ties and springs easy fix

you`ll lose pressure in the fuel tank for sure and if the counterpressure is lost your engine will blow unburned fuel/air mix into the exhaust.
the counterpressure is meant to prevent that.
I had to replace my exhaust gasket a couple of weeks ago because my engine wouldn`t idle properly no more, it also overheated very quickly.

I had a problem a while back that the muffler didnt have enough back pressure so i was running it real lean and ended up burning up the motor, of course ive learned alot since then!
