First thing to check is to make sure there is no air leaks in the engine. Also check the fuel line's and tank for air leaks. This will give you a lean condition.
From the video it's definitely Lean. This is why the RPM's are also hanging and it gets hard to start. Richen it back up and check for air leaks. Wouldn't hurt to seal the motor anyway.

Tune the motor to performance, not motor temp. So engines will run great at 270 or 280 or more. Tune it so there is good smoke coming out of the pipe at wot. Running to rich to keep temps down is just as bad as running it lean

There is no standard temp the engine runs at, just tune it until you get good performance and smoke, without blowing the plug. Burning plugs can be an indication you may be running lean.

that why i try to stay rich enought to not pass the 270-280...i go 1 hour at time to set the high needle rich enought to keep my plug ok and have a good performance to!

like they are saying tune to performance the only reason i ever use a temp gage is just to check to see if it warm enough to start tuning and then i never touch it after that. dont worry about your temp so much if you motor is tuned in right and you are getting the right performance and not running to lean to damage the motor your temp will be perfect. look at it this way perfect performance will save your engine glow plugs are cheap engines are not. tune to performance you will be alot happier with the way the car runs and alot less aggrivated.
