What can I use that won't melt the plastic besides a knife?

You can use goof off I find works good and doesnt ruin the plastic or yuo could try some varsol

pick up some nitro blast from the hobby shop, sure as heck took the plastic chrom off my stock wheels, lol....kinda looks like Urban Camo, chrome and white, lol
